Part 1
Understanding camera sensors and how Photoshop sees color:
Most people don’t know the difference between APS-C and ABS. Understanding your digital photos is more than what camera you use or where you get them printed. From cellphone cameras to D-SLRs, knowing the limitations of your equipment before you get to Photoshop is a must.
We’ll cover information you won’t get from your department store salesman.
Part 2
Photoshop is *the* tool for image manipulation and enhancement:
Image editing software isn’t intuitive. Learning on your own can be frustrating, but it’s rewarding if you have a solid starting point.
There are manipulations in Photoshop for digital images that are no different than adjustments made in darkrooms for film prints. The problem is, Photoshop is a destructive image editor. Any change destroys or introduces new information in your image. For most pictures, a light-handed approach is best.
We’ll cover deceptively simple techniques for improving almost any image.
